Hi

I'm Ian Barr, I joined the business in July 2005, originally as the Financial Controller and have been the Practice Manager since April 2007.

I'm originally from Taranaki, a province I played rugby in at senior level against the likes of Graham Mourie and Dave Loveridge. Sadly a lot of senior players now do not get the opportunity of playing against All Blacks at club level.

After 14 years with the Inland Revenue Department in New Plymouth I transferred to Tauranga in 1984. I left the IRD in 1996 and since then have held management positions with Tauranga Sports Rugby Club and local private companies involved in engineering and real estate before joining Investment Research Group.

I enjoy all sports especially rugby, cricket, golf and business house tennis. I also enjoy kayaking with my wife, which is both relaxing and a way to see the sights of our beautiful coastline and lakes.

I am married to Suzanne and we have two adult children and three grandchildren.
