Fixed Interest & Bonds
ANZ Bond Offer - 20 February 2012
ANZ New Zealand is considering a public bond issue.
ANZ National Bank Limited (“ANZ New Zealand”) is calling for indications of interest in a proposed public issue of unsecured, unsubordinated bonds (“New Bonds”).
ANZ New Zealand notified bondholders on 2 February that it would repay early an issue of its subordinated bonds (“Existing Bonds”) on 2 March 2012. This will allow existing investors - with proceeds from the repayment of the Existing Bonds - and other members of the public the opportunity to participate in ANZ New Zealand New Bonds.
It is expected that the New Bonds would have a term to maturity of 7 years and include a minimum interest rate. An announcement of the minimum rate and margin would be made on or around the opening of the offer, expected to be in late February.
Full details of the issue would be contained in the Medium Term Bonds Investment Statement and Series Notice.
ANZ New Zealand is seeking preliminary indications of interest in the New Bonds, which may be made by contacting us on 0800 867 323 or emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. If emailing please indicate the amount you might like to invest and if possible the minimum interest rate you would accept.
No money is currently being sought and no applications for the ANZ New Zealand New Bonds will be accepted or money received unless the subscriber has received an Investment Statement and Series Notice.
